The wind industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. Over 7,000 people work in the industry in Schleswig-Holstein alone, producing more than 40% of the state’s power needs. A greater increase is expected as a result of the planned offshore wind farms.

The strong growth if the wind industry is resulting in a great domestic and international need for additional, qualified staff for wind turbine manufacturers, consultancy, planning and service enterprises. CEwind has been addressing this need since 2008 by providing the international “Master of Science Wind Engineering” course, and starting in Autumn 2011 CEwind will be offering postgraduate courses with certificate for engineers.
