
The M.Sc. course in wind engineering is an interdisciplinary course involving mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, the energy industry and environmental technology. Students are trained as engineers with a wide range of knowledge in all relevant areas of wind energy, as well as individual areas of specialisation.
The curriculum has the following content:

All courses, laboratory work, projects and exams are held in English.
Students can start the course in either summer or winter semester. The summer semester courses are held in Flensburg, those of the winter semester in Kiel. There are two compulsory subjects in the winter semester and one in the summer semester aimed at specialisation and intensification.
The course also includes interdisciplinary key qualifications such as communication techniques, teamwork techniques, presentation and moderation techniques, and methodological competency. The teaching of skills in using modern information technology is also part of the curriculum.
