The individual research and development projects are orientated on the needs expressed by partners from industry, institutions, operators etc. At the same time, the centre of excellence should also contribute to setting up the necessary research infrastructure in Schleswig-Holstein and establishing a special area of research in the state. Here the focal point should be the interdisciplinary combination of engineering, natural and economic sciences.
