Activities of the CEwind Centre of Excellence
The individual research and development projects are orientated on the needs expressed by partners from industry, institutions, operators etc. At the same time, the Centre of Excellence should also contribute to setting up the necessary research infrastructure in Schleswig-Holstein and establishing a special area of research in the state that is of national relevance and importance. Here the focal point should be the interdisciplinary combination of engineering, natural and economic sciences.
CEwind also acts as a broker for the consulting services of its members.

The vigorous growth of the wind energy sector has led to a great demand for more qualified employees for wind turbine manufacturers, consultancies, planning and service businesses at both national and international level. CEwind has been addressing this need since 2008 through the international degree course Master of Science Wind Engineering, and as of Autumn 2011 CEwind will also be offering postgraduate courses with certificate for engineers.
