We can achieve more by combining our strengths and resources

Gefördert von: ESF und Land Schleswig-Holstein

The research network CEwind, founded in 2005, combines the research activities of the universities of Schleswig-Holstein in the field of wind energy technology. Professors of different fields of study gather knowledge in order to achieve more together. The universities want to contribute to this through R&D projects and an intensive dialogue between members of science, economy and politics, so that Schleswig-Holstein can keep its position as number one wind country with several thousand jobs in this industry.

CEwind pursues the goal to deal with fundamental questions of future wind turbines, wind parks and the corresponding infrastructure through scientific work. These questions can be grouped under the heading "Intelligent wind energy systems of the future" and are currently focused on the demand for offshore projects, which was identified by the wind energy industry.

Answers to the main questions of grid connection and integration, design of rotor blades, generator, tower and foundation, operation monitoring and maintenance and impact on the environment of such projects are intended to be developed for projects with turbines in the multimegawatt class and with extreme local conditions.
