The CEwind Center of Excellence has identified the following goals for its work:
- Turning Schleswig-Holstein into a centre for research and development for wind energy use
- Developing a close interaction between universities and industry
- Systematic networking of all scientific expertise and capacities in the area of wind energy research in Schleswig-Holstein
- Supporting problem-based interdisciplinary collaboration
- Initiating joint R&D projects
- Initiating and organising nationwide cooperation
- Organising a professional network infrastructure
- Practice-oriented education of highly skilled personnel

- Preparing the formation of spin-off companies
